Our process

Done right, from the ground up.

Florida sun, salt air and humidity are hard on a home’s exterior. Here is exactly how Gulf to Bay Exteriors prepares and paints every home, step by step.

Ten steps

From estimate to final walkthrough.

Ten steps on every job, so you always know what’s happening at your home and why. Most homes are finished in three to five working days, depending on size, repairs and weather.

Estimate & color consultation

We walk the property, photograph existing cracks, rot and peeling, test real Sherwin-Williams samples on your walls, and give you a written, itemized price. We’ll help with HOA submittals.

Property protection

Windows, doors, light fixtures, AC units and lanai screens are covered, and landscaping is tied back or protected.

Our difference

Trench to the foundation

We dig 6 inches deep around the base so paint carries below the soil line and seals the bottom edge most painters leave bare.

Our difference

Wash & bleach-free mildew treatment

Removes dirt, chalk and Florida mold without harming plants, pets or lawn. Surfaces dry fully before any coating.

Surface repair

Stucco cracks patched, gaps around windows, doors and trim caulked, damaged wood pointed out for repair by a qualified contractor, bare or chalky areas primed.

Paint application

Two coats of your chosen Sherwin-Williams line (SuperPaint, Duration or Emerald), applied only in the right weather window.

Detail work

Trim, fascia, soffits, front door and garage door finished with clean, sharp lines.

Cleanup & restoration

We backfill the trench, remove all masking, restore your landscaping and leave the property cleaner than we found it.

Our difference

Final walkthrough together

We inspect with you, handle touch-ups on the spot, and leave labeled leftover paint plus a record of your colors.

Follow-up

We check in after the job is complete to make sure you’re happy with the result.

Why we trench

The 6 inches nobody sees.

Paint that stops at the dirt leaves a raw strip at the base of the wall where moisture and termites get in. Trenching lets us clean and coat the wall below grade, then we backfill so it looks untouched.
